Granada, Spain

Granada is a city built on layers of history, and you can see it everywhere you look. Tucked at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains in southern Spain, in the heart of Andalusia, it sits at a crossroads where cultures once met and mingled. From the intricate Islamic designs of the Alhambra to later Christian and Renaissance architecture, the city tells a complex story of transition and influence. In the Albaicín, narrow streets twist through whitewashed houses, echoing its Moorish roots. Even the name Granada — Spanish for pomegranate — holds meaning. The fruit, a symbol of abundance and unity, appears throughout the city in stone carvings, ceramic tiles, and coats of arms. It’s a fitting emblem for a place so full of cultural richness.
